School is closed tomorrow for students, Monday, February 19, 2024, for a day of deep cleaning and sanitizing due to multiple student and staff absences because of illnesses. Staff will report to work for deep cleaning, planning, and preparation.

Early Dismissal today at 1:00 p.m. due to road conditions and weather. There are no preschool classes or after-school activities. City road crews are out plowing to keep up with snow accumulation, thanks to Kip's and John's plowing effort to keep the roads open. Please drive carefully.

The Special Board Meeting tonight is postponed until Tuesday, January 30, at 6:00. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Regular school dismissal; however, all afterschool activities are canceled for today. This includes basketball practice, 21st Century grant program, and afterschool activities. In addition, the board work session will be on Zoom only.

Hi parents, we have a new session of After school starting this week. Along with continuing archery and arts and crafts, we will also be doing robotics, building Legos (that move and have purpose), and practicing our reading. If you want your student to stay, let their classroom teacher or myself know and we'll make sure they stay afterschool. If your student NEEDS ACADEMIC HELP, they can always come to the afterschool program Mon-Thurs. 3-5 and only work on homework/missing assignments. They just need to come to Ms. Grant's room in the elementary.

Family Skate Night is canceled for tonight, Friday, November 8.

Kake Families, Skate Night is back this Friday, December 1st from 7:00pm-8:30pm in the High School Gym! Lets get our students hyped about reading with us then get our Skate on! Please keep in mind this is a FAMILY event so please attend with your student(s) and have fun!

School picture retake day will be Monday, November 27, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Student retakes from 1:00-3:00 by request and Family retakes from 3:00-6:00 at the elementary school. Please get in touch with your child's teacher if you want a picture retake for them.

Good morning! To remind you, we have Parent/Teacher Conferences this week. Please schedule a time with your child's teacher if you still need a schedule from the school. The 21st Century grant afterschool program activities are canceled for the week. Have a wonderful week, and I hope you will find time to enjoy the basketball games this evening.

The middle school basketball games will remain at the community center for the entire tournament.

Open House early release today at 2:00 p.m. Open House will follow from 2:15-4:30, when you can visit teachers and staff and get to know folks who teach your child each day. There will be a superintendent/principal presentation at 3:30 in the Cafeteria, where you will hear great things we have planned for this school year. Door prizes will be drawn throughout the presentations. You need to be present to win.
