Term of Service: The appointed member will serve from the date of appointment until the next regularly scheduled school board election.
Application Deadline: Letters of interest must be submitted by June 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
Public Interviews & Selection: The Board of Education will review applications, conduct public interviews, and vote on the appointment during a meeting scheduled for June 25, 2026.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must be:
A citizen of the United States.
A qualified voter of the State of Alaska.
A resident within the boundaries of the Kake City School District.
