Today we are sharing out excitement in welcoming our new 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Jacyn Schmidt!
Ms. Jacyn moved to Kake about a year ago and has been a substitute teacher while sewing for Sagebrush Dry Gear. Before that, she lived in Sitka for 3 years, where she did geoscience education and research. She was born and raised in Northern California. She brings her educational background in geology and enthusiasm for language and learning to the elementary team. She loves biking, baking, and building community, and can't wait to get to know her 2nd grade class!
