Hello Kake community,
My name is Anthony Ross, and I am honored to serve as the new Assistant Principal for the Kake City School District.
I moved to Kake when I was 11 years old, and this community has been my home ever since. I proudly graduated from Kake High School in 2001, and together with my wife, Robin Ross—also a lifelong Kake resident—we’ve raised our two wonderful children, Dominic and Paige, right here in our hometown.
My path in education has been deeply rooted in service to this district. Over the years, I’ve taken on many roles including substitute teacher, teacher’s aide, technology assistant, coach, bus driver, and classroom teacher. I’ve had the privilege of teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th grades, and each of these experiences has strengthened my passion for education and student development.
Beyond the classroom, I’ve served as the District Activities Director, Boys and Girls High School Basketball Coach, and former High School Cross Country Coach. I’ve also had the opportunity to help launch character-building programs such as Boys to Men and Athletes as Leaders, which focus on mentorship, accountability, and personal growth for our youth both on and off the court.
I’m excited to step into this new leadership role and continue working with our dedicated staff, families, and students. My goal is to support a safe, positive, and empowering school environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
With appreciation,
Anthony Ross
