Back to School

We are thrilled to welcome you and your children back for the 2024-2025 school year! The first day of school is just around the corner on August 22nd, and we couldn’t be more excited to see our students return to the classroom.

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to remind all families that up-to-date immunizations are required for all students to start school. According to Alaska State Law (AS 14.30.125), all students must provide proof of current immunizations unless they have a documented exemption. Please ensure that your child’s immunization records are submitted to the school office before the first day of school.

For our kindergarten families, we want to clarify the eligibility requirements for starting kindergarten. Alaska State Law (AS 14.03.080) states that children who turn 5 years old before September 1st are eligible to begin kindergarten. We apologize for any confusion regarding this deadline and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to welcoming our new kindergartners as they begin this exciting journey!

We understand that navigating PowerSchool can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting you through the enrollment process. To make this easier, we will accept paper registration forms, which will be uploaded into PowerSchool on your behalf. You will still need to update PowerSchool to make sure all information is correct.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Robin Ross will be returning to our district next week to assist families with PowerSchool enrollment. We encourage you to take advantage of this support to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

Thank you for your attention to these important matters. We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead and are grateful for your partnership in making this school year a success.

Thank you for all your support!
